BAU Students Participate in the Launch of “Y-IMPACT” National Initiative

17 February 2026

BAU students participated in the official launch of the Y-IMPACT – Youth Involvement in Multi-Level Policy and Community Transformation initiative, that took place on Tuesday 17 February 2026, at the Grand Serail, under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Nawaf Salam. The initiative is implemented through a partnership between the Ministry of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR), UNESCO Regional Office in Beirut, and the Business Practice and Policy Initiative (BPPI) at the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business at the American University of Beirut.

This national initiative aims to strengthen youth engagement in governance and promote evidence-based policymaking across Lebanon. It marks the beginning of a nationwide rollout of trainings and dialogue platforms targeting youth aged 18–25 across all governorates.

Through this initiative, young participants will be equipped with essential skills in participatory governance, policy analysis, and collaborative policy development, enabling them to translate local challenges into actionable and impactful policy recommendations.
