On the occasion of the Global Fatty Liver Day, the Faculty of Health Sciences, Beirut Arab University-Tripoli branch organized a screening and awareness campaign in collaboration with DiaLeb, Orange Nassau hospital and The Arab Union for Specialized Women. The campaign aimed at screening and educating the public on the risk factors for non-alcoholoc fatty liver, the importance of early detection, and the lifestyle measures that prevent the disease. During the campaign, a total of 220 individuals were evaluated for risk of developing the disease. This included history taking, vital signs, anthropometric measurements, and testing for fasting blood glucose, HbA1C, lipid profile, and liver enzymes. Nutrition education was provided to all participants for a healthy diet plan.
