About Human Rights Center, Vision & Mission

The Human Rights Center at Beirut Arab University (HRC-BAU) was established in 2009 as a specialized center independent of all the faculties and departments at the university.
Years from now the center will have helped create a more harmonious community by exposing youth in Lebanon to human rights and helping them understand violations while acquiring the education, skills and resources necessary in an attempt to create the desired change and build a better future.

Volunteer of the Month

Sarah Diab

A law graduate from Beirut Arab University

I joined the Human Rights Center as a volunteer throughout my university education.

My journey with them was full of challenges and developmental experiences, as the center gave us the opportunity to study justice extensively through workshops and various activities in cooperation with local and even foreign NGOs. My most notable participations were the summer school that took place in Cologne - Germany which was entitled by social justice and human rights, in addition to an excursion to Jordan to study social justice.

Being with HRC was the best experience ever.
