Our Services
- The Physical Therapy Outpatient Clinic (PTOC), a patient centered clinic committed to clinical excellence in treating patients and training future physical therapists, sharing same mission, vision, and value of the Physical Therapy department, the Faculty of Health Sciences, as well as Beirut Arab University.
- The PTOC is where every patient gains the best service and experience, from highly dedicated staff and using advanced physical agents, therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques based on high level of evidence and guidelines in a highly equipped clinic. The PTOC contributes to a better healthcare system, to be a model of quality, efficiency in physical therapy students’ clinical training, and in serving population’s health.
- The PTOC welcomes patients on weekdays upon appointments. During the first appointment, the patient reads and signs a consent form prior to any assessment or treatment. The first appointment includes: history taking and initial examination, documenting the reason for his referral, assessing his impairments, activity limitations and participation restrictions, setting treatment goals and a tailored plan of care, according to the ICF model. Sessions are all documented through the progress notes using SOAP format. At the end of the treatment, a discharge summary is completed and the patient’s file is reserved.
- Patients are always encouraged to fill the “suggestion form” collected then in the suggestions box that can help or suggest improvements to the PTOC.
