Participation in the Education Dialogue Forum on "Youth Reimagining Education"
26 January 2026On the occasion of the International Day of Education, volunteers from the Human Rights Center at Beirut Arab University participated in the Education Dialogue Forum “Youth Reimagining Education”, organized by the UNESCO Regional Office in Beirut at the American University of Beirut, under the patronage and in the presence of the First Lady of Lebanon H.E. Mrs. Nehmat Aoun.
The forum brought together youth, academic institutions, international organizations, and decision-makers in a dynamic, youth-led space for dialogue on the future of education and citizenship in Lebanon. BAU students actively took part in the “Youth Voices: Flipped Dialogue on Citizenship in the Digital Era”, where young participants shared their reflections and recommendations on how education can respond to rapid social, digital, and economic transformations.
Through interactive group discussions and direct exchanges with H.E. Mrs. Nehmat Aoun and the audience, BAU students contributed to conversations centered on active citizenship, digital learning and media and information literacy, inclusion, and education for sustainability and employability. These discussions emphasized the importance of placing youth at the core of educational reform and policy-shaping processes, recognizing them as key actors in building inclusive and resilient societies.
