A Pharmaceutical Composition Patent By Pharmacist Mohamed Ali Mostafa Hijazi from BAU
11 January 2017Pharmacist Mohamed Ali Mostafa Hijazi obtained a patent for a pharmaceutical composition based upon a botanical extract that can be used as a natural morphine analgesic, as well as a medication to cure drug dependence. The patent was issued by the Ministry of Economics and Commerce, and is valid for 20 years.
Hijazi is a BAU graduate from the Faculty of Pharmacy and holds an MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is currently registered for a PhD, and is preparing for the defense of a dissertation supervised by Prof. Abdallah Lakani, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Prof. Maha Aboul Ela, Head of the Pharmaceutical Sciences.
