“BAU Homecoming” Organized in Beirut- Debbieh and Tripoli Campuses
09 October 2013Beirut Arab University organized the “BAU Homecoming Event”, held in Beirut, Debbieh and Tripoli Campuses. The events were attended by Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi, President of BAU, the Vice-Presidents, Secretary General, Mr. Issam Houri, as well as the Deans and the administrative staff. The event aimed at welcoming the new students and introducing them to the various activities of the Students’ Activities Department, highlighting the role played by the various clubs and centers.
The program included sports events, dancing and singing, conducted by the students and the staff-members. There were also interactive activities presented by the BAU Athletic Teams, the Dance Club, the Music Club, the Folk Dance Club and the Astronomy Club, which were attended by crowds of students who participated in the activities and won numerous prizes.
Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi emphasized the importance of this event in engaging students in extracurricular activities. Since such events are conducive to the promotion of a sense of belonging, the President called upon all students to learn about the various clubs at BAU that students can register in. The President also spoke of a series of innovative steps that the University is taking towards enhancing student services.
