Beirut Arab University Hosts the First VEX Robotics Competition in Lebanon

The Faculty of Science at Beirut Arab University, in collaboration with Techno-Future in Lebanon, organized the first VEX Robotics Competition among the students of the Lebanese Universities.

The competition which took place at the Debbieh Campus on the 10th of May, 2014, aimed at encouraging the students to become inventive, creative, and innovative to compete with students at world universities.

The Competition included nine teams from 8 Lebanese universities : Beirut Arab University, the Lebanese University in Tripoli, the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Rafick Hariri University, Balamand University, El Manar University, Global University, and the LIU.

The inventions were presented to the Jury, and the first place was won by the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik’s team, which will represent Lebanon at the World Tournament due to be held in Hawaii next July.

The BAU team won the second prize and the prize for the best design, while the LIU team won the Robotic Skill’s prize. The Balamand University team won the Robotic Programming’s prize, and the Lebanese University team (Tripoli Branch) won the best Team-Spirit’s Prize.
