Beirut Arab University Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport - Alexandria
06 September 2013Beirut Arab University signed a three-year renewable Memorandum of Understanding with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (Alexandria), affiliated to the Arab League.
The Memorandum aims at enhancing professional ties between the two institutions, facilitating their performances in education, training and research, in addition to the mutual cooperation in providing materials, logistics, expertise, laboratories and other facilities.
The Memorandum further stipulates various forms of cooperation at the postgraduate level (Vocational Diplomas – Master degrees) in Administration Supply - International Transport and Logistics. The cooperation also extends to include education and trainings related to Foreign Trade, and exchanging experts in these fields.
The Memorandum was signed by Prof. Dr. Amr Galal El Adawi, President of Beirut Arab University, and Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (Alexandria), on one hand, and Prof. Dr. Nehal Mustafa, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at Beirut Arab University, and Prof. Dr. Khaled Mohamed Hanafy, Dean of the Faculty of International Transport and Logistics and the Director of the Commerce and Commodity Exchanges Institute on the other hand. The signature ceremony was attended by Mr. Toufic Houri, President of the Bir and Ihsan Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Hanafy Holail, BAU Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohamad Raslan, Dean of Scientific Research, Mr. Issam Houri, BAU Secretary General, and Mrs. Zina Ariss, Director of Public Relations Administration.
