Beirut Arab University- Tripoli Branch Organizes A Discussion Panel “Dare to Disagree”

The Students’ Activities Department at BAU- Tripoli Branch organized a Discussion Panel in collaboration with “Technology, Entertainment and Design” Movement TEDx  to come out with the first BAU Salon Discussion Panel entitled “Dare to Disagree”. The aim of the activity was to encourage the youth to be more open and audacious to discuss and tackle creative topics that help build their characters. The aim was also to help the youth to be more engaged with their communities.

The event that took place on the 15th of February, 2014 was attended by BAU Vice-President for Tripoli Branch Affairs, Prof. Dr. Khaled Baghdadi, Director of the Faculty of Architectural Engineering, Dr. Nabil Harb, Administrative Director, Dr. Ahmed Sanjikdar, as well as a crowd of staff-members, students and civil society representatives.

Three videos were displayed and discussed, focusing on the issues of success, creativity, how to distinguish oneself, and working in an extraordinary atmosphere. “We love Tripoli” , a Non- Governmental Organization participated in the event through a vote on proposed projects intended to revive Tripoli, while the “Arab Interns Association” interacted with the students and the attendants through a discussion of the guidance of youth towards determining the most suitable vocational training that would match their professional options and future aspirations.
