Contemporary Visions of Fine Arts An Exhibition At BAU
06 May 2015Beirut Arab University concluded its cultural season with an artistic foursome at an exhibition entitled “Contemporary Visions of Fine Arts”, hosting the Artists Wajih Nahle, Samir Abi Rached, Hassan Jouni and Rima Farroukh. The exhibition was held on the 6th of May 2015, and was organized by the Public Relations Administration, and was attended by Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi, President of BAU, the deans of faculties, Mr. Issam Houri, BAU Secretary General, and a crowd of artists and interested people. The exhibition included paintings that represent aspects of escaping reality and traveling through the labyrinths of truth.
After the National Lebanese Anthem and the BAU Anthem were played, Hassan Jouni delivered a speech on behalf of the artists. He pointed out that this combination among the artists’ works forms a tableau of the privacy of each artist and their view of reality. He also expressed the artists’ appreciation of the University’s initiative to satisfy our thirst for beauty.
Prof. El- Adawi described the exhibition as the best conclusion for the cultural season, highlighting the importance of organizing such events which establish the integrative relationship between science and creativity.
The ceremony was then concluded by a tour of the artists and the visitors at the exhibition.
