Faculty of Engineering Participation in the “Third Downstream Petroleum Workshop”
29 January 2017The Faculty of Engineering at Beirut Arab University participated through its two Doctors Dr. Rami Harkous and Dr. Mohamad Ali in the “Third Downstream Petroleum Workshop” that was held in Ploiesti-Romania from 29/01/2017 till 05/02/2017. This workshop was organized by the Gas and Oil Processing, a European Lebanese Cooperation (GOPELC)
(An ERASMUS+ Project) which is well- known in addressing the most important issues that the Lebanese Society and the Lebanese Higher Educational Systems are facing in the domain of Oil and Gas Industry.
Several modules and presentations were discussed in different topics of Refining Operations, Industrial Catalytics, Polymer Engineering, Lubricants and other courses.
During their journey, Dr. Harkouss and Dr. Ali also visited the “Conpet” midstream company, which operates one of the most important pipelines in Romania, as well as LukOil Refinery, one of the biggest refineries in Ploiesti.
