Fundraising and Project Management Workshop

Beirut Arab University organized a workshop titled "Fundraising and Project Management", as one of a series of workshops held by "Ties" project as part of “Tempus Program for the Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation for Higher Education”. The workshop was held on the 20^th of April 2012 and took place at Coral Suites Hotel, Hamra- Beirut.

Professor Amr Galal El-Adawi, President of Beirut Arab University, attended the workshop along with Dr. Mohammad Raslan, Dean of Scientific Research and International Relations; Dr. Sobhi Abi Chahine, President of Tempus Committee at Beirut Arab University, Mrs. Zina Ariss, Director of Public Relations Administration; and participants from a number of European and Arab Universities, namely from Spain, Italy, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan, Algeria and Lebanon.

The two-day workshop was focused on presenting ideas related to attracting fund sources in general and international donors in particular, and considering some traditional methods for fundraising and establishing units that are self-funded.

In the occasion, Professor El-Adawi stated that international cooperation and attracting donors would lead to enhancing the educational process and would contribute to increasing the scientific research and upgrading the laboratories.
