Launching of BAU International Life Support Training Center
31 March 2017The Faculty of Health Sciences at Beirut Arab University inaugurated the “BAU International Life Support Training Center”, which has been accredited by the “American Health Association” (AHA), for the occasion of “Saving Hearts Campaign” in the Arab World.
The event was attended by Ms. Zahraa Al Hilali, Regional Director of the “American Health Association” (AHA); Dr. Nouhad Doumit, President of the Order of Nurses in Lebanon; Dr. Micheal Ibrahim, representing the Order of Physiotherapists in Lebanon; Dr. Said Jazaeri, Head of the Board of Trustees of Waqf Al Bir Wal Ehsan Society, Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi, President of BAU, Prof. Esam Othman, Vice President for Medical Sciences, Prof. Rajaa Fakhoury, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Deans of the Faculties, Professors, Faculty and Staff, as well as a number of hospital directors, and members of the Health Sector in Lebanon.
The aim of the Center is to train students and interested people in the fundamentals of Basic Life Support (BLS). It will also include in the near future, the adoption of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
