Medical Physicist Ibrahim Dhaini Receives International Prize in Medical Physics and the Middle East Presidential Award
13 January 2017The Medical Physicist and Head of the Radiation Protection Department at Rafic Hariri University Hospital Physician Ibrahim Dhaini received the Medical Physics International Day Award granted by the International Organisation for Medical Physics located in London, UK. Distinguished medical physicists are honoured by this organisation which aims at strengthening the role of medical physics in the field of chronic disease diagnosis and treatment. The organisation also seeks to shed the light on the contributions of medical physicists in providing patients with better health care. To this end, Dhaini received a shield and a certificate of appreciation during the 22nd International Conference in Medical Physics held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Dhaini also received the Medical Physics Presidential Award as he was elected as the President of the Middle East Federation of Organizations of Medical Physics for two consecutive rounds.
Currently, Dhaini is pursuing his doctorate studies at Beirut Arab University and preparing to defend his dissertation in Physics.
