Orphan’s Day Celebrated at BAU

For the seventh consecutive year, the Faculty of Arts at Beirut Arab University organized the “Orphan’s Day” at Beirut Campus. The event that was held on the 11th of April, 2014 and was attended by Prof. Dr. Mayssah El Nayal, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Gamal Megahed, Head of the Mass Communications Department and Students’ Activities Coordinator at the Faculty, in addition to staff-members, students, graduates and workers. The event hosted 200 children from the Islamic Orphanage, who spent a happy two hours of a full artistic and entertainment program prepared by the Mass Communication students.

The event opened with a meal offered to the children, followed by various musical and dance activities in which the students interacted with the children. Activities also included games, face-painting and presenting gifts. The entertainment activities included magical performances that fascinated the children, taking them for a few hours into a world of happiness.

At the end of the day, the 200 children were given presents, and they left BAU in great happiness.
