Seeming to Combat Extremism

In collaboration with Partners EVP (EdVenture), the volunteers of the Human Rights Center at BAU launched an awareness-raising campaign through social media, to combat extremism and raise the awareness of the Lebanese society and youth from this malaise that harms the society and human relations, leading to various conflicts.
The campaign, entitled “Seeming”, aimed to introduce the correct ways adopted by any person to attain what they aspire to, most importantly the democratic path, engagement with the civil society, accepting plurality, and making civilized and peaceful claims to one’s rights, to avoid falling into any extremes.
The volunteers of the Center included in their campaign the organization of a workshop that extended over two days, and tackled the concept of extremism, its various aspects and from a psychological perspective.
