Stock Trading Strategies Workshop at Tripoli
16 February 2016The Center for Continuing & Professional Education (CCPE) at Beirut Arab University organized a workshop at Tripoli Campus in the field of finance for using advanced intelligence methods for testing” Stock Trading Strategies”.
The workshop which was held on the 16th of February 2016, was moderated by Mr. Samir EL ZEIN , the CEO of Daily Stock Select.
The participating students learned how to use state of the art methods in order to perform backtesting , in a virtual lab/cloud computing environment.
After selecting the best trading strategies, the students performed daily trades using fake money and real US stock markets, exposing simulations to reality and analyzing behavioral finance impacts.
The best performance during the workshop went to the participant Rajab Mahmoud Moukahal who was ranked first upon the participating students.
The gain realized is a great return given the 3 months timeframe offered .
At the end of the workshop certificates were distributed to the participants.
