Overview

Higher educational Institutions (HEIs) play a crucial role in the development of human capital and good citizenry. This role is intensified in a framework of collaboration and partnerships among these institutions. This collaboration is multifaceted; it can take place through academic partnerships such as exchange programmes and student mobility but also through institutional collaboration. The UNAM project aims at promoting this institutional collaboration through modernization and strengthening of the institutional and financial autonomy of Southern neighboring HEIs. Within this framework, the Supra-regional Conference in Governance in Southern Neighbouring HEIs shed the light on the governance of the partners of the UNAM project and other HEIs. Partners governance experience is aimed to be exposed at the conference, generating interchangeable learning and networking, leading hopefully to potential institutional collaboration. As such, the conference brings together deans, director of programmes, financial managers, HR managers, academic members, from HEIs and other higher education stakeholders.
