The National Lebanese Oriental Orchestra conducted by Maestro Andre Hajj at BAU

From the heart of the Capital of the North, an original art resonated distinctive musical concert lasted for an hour and a half took place at Beirut Arab University- Tripoli Campus. This musical concert was held on the 15th of April 2016, by the National Lebanese Oriental Orchestra conducted by the Maestro Andre Hajj, and accompanied by the Singer Fabienne Daher, whose voice took the audience to a magical world of love, courtship, longing and nostalgia.
The lyrics of Maamoun Shinnawi, Ahmed Ramy, Ismail Habrouk, Hussein El Sayed, Beiram Tunsi, Aboul Saoud Ibyari and Badih Khairi, merged with the music of Ammar Sherei, Walid Ghoulmeieh, Mohamed Kasabgi, Mounir Mourad, Ahmed Kaabour, Ryiad Sonbati, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Mahmoud Sherif, Zakareya Ahmed and Sayed Darwiche, to produce a delicate tapestry painted by 25 musicians. Their slender fingers gave an elegant performance that interacted with the sensibility of Fabienne Daher, creating a romantic and dreamy ambience for the audience.
After the Lebanese Anthem and the BAU Anthem were played, Ms. Nala Makkouk opened the event, which was attended by Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi, President of BAU, Dr. Omar Houri, BAU Secretary General, the deans of faculties, Ms. Zina Ariss, Director of Public Relations, and a crowd of notables from Tripoli and the North.
