A Cooperation Agreement Between BAU and the Lebanese Army Leadership

Beirut Arab University, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Amr Galal El Adawi, signed a cooperation agreement with the Lebanese Army Leadership, represented by Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Brigadier Ali Hammoud. The Agreement is valid for four years, subject to renewal.

The agreement aims at enhancing communication and cooperation mechanisms as well as promoting the scientific, academic and technical fields, and exchanging expertise. It further aims at establishing a suitable framework for developing cooperation through the organization of specialized seminars and training courses to increase technical abilities and experience in the various fields of the agreement.

Under the agreement, BAU is committed to educate and train the army leaders in various fields of specialization, such as Engineering, Medical Sciences, Management and Quality. This includes Postgraduate Programs in various specializations and offering specialized training courses with professional certificates. In addition, BAU provides technical advice. The Army Leadership contributes to the strengthening of ties, raising the awareness of Lebanese youth through the organization of seminars, engaging students in engineering and management training projects, and partaking in the cultural activities of the University.

A Joint Committee has been formed including members from the University and the Army Leadership to plan, monitor and implement the joint activities stated in the agreement.
