A Summer Training Course on the Topic of Safety ERUSMUS + was held at Beirut Arab University as Part of the MENA-SAFE Program.

Within the framework of the EU-funded traffic project, "Preparation of Master's Curricula, Capacity Building and Development of Traffic Safety Relationships in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon”, a summer training course on the topic of Safety ERUSMUS + was held at Beirut Arab University as part of the MENA-SAFE Program. This two-week course was attended by professors, graduates and students from Beirut Arab University (Lebanon), the Modern University for Business and Science (Lebanon), Alexandria University (Egypt) and Menoufia University (Egypt) in addition to representatives from the National Traffic Safety Council, Alpha Telecom, Georges A. Metni Foundation, and a number of NGOs. The course was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at BAU Professor Adel Al Kurdi in collaboration with Dean of Students’ Affairs Professor Soubhi Abou Shahine, Brigadier General Antoine Zekri representing the Internal Security Forces, and Major Michael Motran representing National Traffic Safety Council as well as representatives of the participating universities. Professor Al Kurdi announced the start of the Master's Program in the field of Traffic Safety at the beginning of next Academic Yyear. The ERASMUS + Project Officer visited the university, met the participants, discussed the progress of the project and praised the efforts exerted in this field. The course included a number of remarks on traffic safety and a visit to the Traffic Control Center in Beirut where Brigadier Antoine Zekri gave a lecture on the Safety of Traffic in Lebanon. The course also included visits to BAU Campus and laboratories in Debbieh and Tripoli Campuses. Representing BAU President, Professor Abou Shahine concluded the course with a speech in which he thanked the attendees for their participation in this summer training course and all those who contributed to the success of the course, promising to exert more effort to achieve excellence.
