BAU Olympic Sciences
10 March 2019The Faculty of Science at Beirut Arab University - Tripoli Branch organized a series of scientific competitions entitled BAU Olympic Sciences in order to stimulate interest in science, cooperation and scientific competition among the educational institutions in the North. 224 students distributed among 15 schools in Akkar, Tripoli, Koura and Dennieh participated in this competition.
Participants competed in automation tests, computer programming as well mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology exams.
The competition also included “A Minute to Win IT” recreational activity for school and university students who competed in the Science Rally which was a group of games that required physical and intellectual skills.
The top-five students received a 40% scholarship on their first semester at BAU, which later follows the scholarship system applicable at the university, in addition to financial prizes divided as follows:
