Cooperation Agreement with Ana wa Anta and Memorandum of Understanding with Pioneer Development Association At BAU

Beirut Arab University - the Tripoli branch, represented by its President, Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, signed a cooperation agreement for three years with "Ana wa Anta" association, represented by its President, Ms. Yasmine Ghamrawi to secure university scholarships for students in order to serve the community and promote educated youth.
The Association contributes in paying university fees or parts of them to students who are struggling during the current economic conditions. The University from its side periodically sends the names and balances of graduates from Tripoli branch who have been unable to pay the remaining fees, in addition to the faltering students who are  seniors at Tripoli branch.
Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam signed a memorandum of understanding with Pioneer Development Association, represented by its director, Ms. Sara Al-Sharif, for a period of three years in order to achieve fruitful cooperation in the field of student support, financial assistance and university grants. The value of such assistance and grants and the proportion of participation in them shall be agreed between the two parties.
The agreement provides financial assistance to students at the University and applicants through the Association as a discount on the installment per semester. The Association provides 70% of the annual fees to students from all majors until they graduate from the University. As well the University secures the other 30%, provided that the student maintains a GPA that is not less than 2. Students are selected according to the criteria of the youth programme and scholarships in the association, where the social and financial status of each student shall be monitored.
