Graduation Project Award 2012 Faculty of Engineering

Serving the role of providing excellent quality education within high and professional standards, Beirut Arab University and with extreme pride, announces the winning of the first prize of the “ Graduation Project Award” on the “Second IEEE Lebanon Communications Student Competition 2012 ( LCSC’12) – Venue “ Systems and Devices”.

The winning BAU Project was entitled:

“IEEE 802.16e Mobile WiMax Up- Link Phy- Layer MATLAB Simulation and FPGA Hardware Implementation”  and was under the supervision of Prof. Mohamad Ismail Al Banna from Faculty of Engineering and composed of the students: Hassan Hawilo, Kassem Al Sabea, Toufik Ghandour and Ibrahim Hijazi.

This annual competition which was organized by the American University of Beirut and the IEEE Communications Society- Lebanon Chapter took place with the participation of twelve universities : AUB- AUST- HCU- IUL- UPA – UPA – LIU – LU- NDU – AOU – USEK and BAU.

The project was presented with high technical standards reflecting the image of Beirut Arab University as a leading Educational Institution among Educational Forums.
