Pharmacy Day at Beirut Arab University

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Beirut Arab University celebrated the Pharmacy Day “A Safe and Effective Medicine for All” in the presence of BAU President Professor Amr Galal El-Adawi and President of the Order of Pharmacists of Lebanon Dr. Ghassan Al-Amin. During the day, various health services and pharmaceutical advice were offered by teams of the faculty professors and students.

The activities aimed to raise awareness of some of the factors causing some chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, hypertension as well as stomach ulcers, osteoporosis and breast cancer. The day also included pharmaceutical counselling on medication treatments for patients as well as sessions for skin care, awareness of the dangers of indiscriminate use of antibiotics and how to safely use plant medicines.

This activity is considered a continuation of the efforts of the Faculty of Pharmacy to apply new research findings in order to achieve BAU’s strategy to establish a permanent partnership with the community through the provision of distinctive services.
