Swiss Ambassador to Lebanon Visits Beirut Arab University
18 September 2015The Swiss Ambassador to Lebanon, H.E. Mr. Francois Baras, accompanied by the Cultural Attache, M. Micheal Abou Khalil, visited Beirut Arab University and met with BAU President, Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi. During the meeting the President informed the Ambassador of the latest aspects of development and modernization at the University, which were crowned by the International Institutional Accreditation the University was granted. The President also elaborated on the benefits of this accreditation for the University’s ten faculties, their respective programs and curricula.
The meeting was followed by a tour of Beirut and Debbieh Campuses, whereby Baras expressed his admiration of the faculties and their equipment. He was also introduced to the activities of the various centers at BAU, in the hope that this visit will pave the way for further visits and open venues for cooperation between BAU and Switzerland, including the exchange of expertise based on future agreements of cooperation.
During the tour, Adawi explained to Baras the mechanisms for the implementation of the BAU Strategy, which have already been launched as most faculties are in the process of gaining international accreditation from the most prominent bodies worldwide.
