Tips In Leadership

Within the framework of the cultural season at Beirut Arab University, the university organized a lecture delivered by the Vice Chairman of the Board of Pharco Corporation, Dr. Sherine Abbas Helmy about “Tips in Leadership” in the presence of Dr. Joe Salloum, President of the Order of Pharmacists, Dr. Nizar Daher, President of the Syndicate of Fine Artists, the former Minister Imad Hoballah, Dr. Mona Wehbe, Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi, President of the University, Dr. Omar Houri, Secretary-General, Deans of Faculties, Directors of pharmaceutical companies, group of pharmacists and a crowd of interested people.

The lecture started with the national anthem and the university’s anthem, then Dr. Rabih Hassouna, President of the Arab Pharmacists Union, spoke about the university’s role in providing the Lebanese and Arab society with human components who are rich with scientific competencies and qualifications. He also praised the lecturer, Dr. Sherine, whose family founded the largest drug production company in the Middle East and North Africa, who is striving to support Lebanon on the health front to pass the difficult times it is facing in terms of lack of medicine mentioning that there are numbers of initiatives that will announce soon.

Then Dr. Sherine Helmy spoke about the great importance of educational leadership in the success of educational administration, and from which the concept of leadership is related to the concept of role, responsibility, and personal capabilities. It depends on the extent to which the individual plays the role of a Leader and the administrative skills to succeed in his work and select and trains the teamwork from educational leaders>

Dr. Helmy referred to the pillars and theories of leadership in addition to how to use knowledge in our daily lives. He also conducted practical and interactive exercises with attendees and urged them to develop a future strategy by accepting competition and challenges without being afraid of risks in finding solutions.

At the end, Professor Amr Galal El Adawi, President of the University, presented to Dr. Hassan Abbas Helmy and Dr. Sherine Abbas Helmy the university’s honorary shield as a token of loyalty and appreciation and praised the training agreement signed with Pharco Corporation which allows pharmacy students to develop their abilities.

At the end of Dr. Helmy’s Journey, the Faculty of pharmacy represented by the Dean Prof. Abdallah El Lakkani hosted the guest to see the more advanced technical laboratories equipment and to meet the students.
