BAU Hosts the Second University-Level Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition
22 May 2026Beirut Arab University, through the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Research, successfully hosted the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition on 22 May 2026 at Jamal Abdel Nasser Hall, bringing together talented postgraduate students from across the University's faculties to showcase their research in concise three minutes presentations.
The competition challenged participants to present complex research topics in a clear, concise, and engaging manner, highlighting both the quality of their research and their communication skills.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, Faculty members, and attendees, creating a vibrant academic atmosphere that celebrated innovation, creativity, and scholarly achievement.
Following the evaluation process, the winners were announced as follows:
First Place: Aya Chouman (Faculty of Pharmacy)
Second Place: Randa Boukhary (Faculty of Architecture - Design & Built Environment)
Third Place: Ranime Ahmad (Faculty of Dentistry)
The People’s Choice Award was awarded to Aya Chouman, reflecting a strong consensus between the audience and the judging panel and underscoring the quality and impact of her presentation.
The competition highlighted the outstanding achievements of Beirut Arab University’s postgraduate researchers, showcasing their passion, creativity, and dedication to advancing knowledge. It also reflected the University’s commitment to fostering a culture of research excellence and empowering students to communicate their research beyond academic boundaries.
