About Us
The Faculty of Health Sciences Research Committee (FHSRC) is the faculty-level body responsible for supporting, coordinating, and monitoring research activities within the Faculty of Health Sciences. The committee was established in the academic year 2013-2014 to operate under the guidance of the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and in close coordination with the Beirut Arab University Research Committee, ensuring alignment with university research policies, ethical standards, and strategic priorities.
Vision
The FHSRC envisions the Faculty of Health Sciences as a leading contributor to Beirut Arab University’s research excellence, recognized for ethical, rigorous, and impactful research that advances health, well-being, and sustainable development at the national and international levels, in alignment with the University’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.
Mission
The mission of the FHSRC is to support, coordinate, and monitor research activities within the Faculty of Health Sciences in alignment with university regulations, ethical frameworks, and strategic priorities.

Support rigorous research methodologies and compliance with research ethics and integrity standards.
Research Capacity Development
Enhance research skills through workshops, mentoring, and scientific training opportunities.
Research Productivity & Funding
Promote high-quality research output that contributes to health improvement and innovation.
Collaboration & Partnerships
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration with local, regional, and international partners.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain annual reports and meeting records to support institutional reporting and planning.
Dissemination & Visibility
Increase visibility of research outcomes through seminars, events, and public dissemination.
Committee Composition
The FHSRC comprises one academic representative from each department within the Faculty of Health Sciences. Members are appointed annually in accordance with faculty regulations and represent their respective departments in matters related to research coordination, documentation, and development.
The committee is chaired by a chairperson, appointed annually by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. They oversee the committee’s activities, convenes meetings, and serves as the primary liaison.
